  • Normalizing Tumor Vessels To Improve Cancer Therapy: Chemotherapy drugs often never reach the tumors they're intended to treat, and radiation therapy is not always effective, because the blood vessels feeding the tumors are abnormal?" ;leaky and twisty". • Antioxidants and Other Nurients Do Not Interfere wtih Chemotherapy or Radiation -- and can HELP!: There is much confusion these days about whether the powerful antioxidants found in fruits and vegetables -- ordinarily such excellent friends to good health -- are safe to eat while a person is undergoing medical treatments for cancer such as radiation and chemotherapy. Well, here is a medical review article that looked at 50 (!) human studies in the medical literature on that very question. After reviewing all that research, the authors concluded that it shows that antioxidants "enhance the killing [of cancer cells] of therapeutic modalities [like chemo and radiation], decrease their side effects, and protect normal tissue." Isn't that what we all would wish from a medical treatment-- that it work better, have minimal side effects, and protect our healthy cells?
